Chapter III — Customisation

Each bed, designed to its bedroom.

A bed sets the proportion of an entire room. We work to the room's scale, the ceiling height, the light. Standard sizes are a starting point, not a constraint.

Size

King (180×200), queen (150×200), super-king (200×210), and bespoke dimensions. Mattress sizes calibrated to your existing mattress or new purchase. Headboard heights from 120cm to 180cm.

Headboard

Channel-tufted, button-tufted, plain panel, fluted, or scalloped. Wing-back or flat. Hand-stitched piping in matching or contrasting tone. We'll sketch the silhouette before we build.

III.

Fabric & Frame

Premium upholstery fabrics — bouclé, velvet, linen, performance weaves — or full-grain leather. Solid teak frame underneath, with optional storage drawers or hydraulic lift base.

Chapter IV — The Process

From fabric swatch to delivered bed.

Five to six weeks. Every step you stay informed; nothing built without your sign-off.

Consultation

Room photos, ceiling height, mattress dimensions. We'll suggest proportions that flatter the space rather than overpower it.

Fabric & Finish

Swatches couriered for in-room review. See the fabric in your light before committing — fluorescents lie, daylight tells the truth.

III.

Craft

Frame built first, then upholstery layered slowly: webbing, foam, batting, fabric. Hand-stitched, never staple-gunned where it shows.

IV.

Installation

Four-person delivery team. Bed assembled in your bedroom, headboard mounted, old bed removed if needed. Two hours, beginning to end.

Chapter V — Questions

Questions, answered.

Do I need to buy the mattress from you? +

No — Jekoya builds the bed frame and headboard. You're free to use any mattress brand. We'll calibrate the bed to your chosen mattress dimensions for a precise fit.

Can I add storage drawers underneath? +

Yes. Options include four side-pull drawers, a hydraulic lift base for under-mattress storage, or a combination. Storage variants add about a week to lead time.

What if my fabric choice is hard to source? +

We work with Pierre Frey, Designers Guild, Romo, Sahco, and Indian mills like Sarita Handa. Customer-supplied fabric (COM) is also welcome — courier us 8 metres for a king and we'll quote accordingly.

How do you deliver a king-size bed up narrow stairs? +

Every Jekoya bed is engineered to disassemble into transportable modules: headboard, footboard, side rails, and slats. Reassembled in your bedroom with concealed hardware. No lift, no problem.

What's the warranty? +

Ten years on the teak frame. Five years on upholstery construction. Two years on fabric workmanship (excluding wear and accidental damage).
