Chapter III — Customisation

One chair at a time.

Accent seating is often where personality enters a room. We build them slowly, one at a time, with the same rigour as our largest pieces.

I.

Style

Wing-back, club, bergère, slipper, accent armchair, ottoman, chaise longue. We work from sketches, references, or our own catalogue — happy to adapt.

II.

Frame

Solid Burma teak or kiln-dried beechwood, mortise-and-tenon joinery. Eight-way hand-tied springs in the seat. High-density foam with feather wrap option.

III.

Upholstery

Full-grain Italian leather, premium velvets, bouclés, performance weaves. Hand-stitched piping, button-tufting, or channel detail. Visible nailhead trim in brass or aged copper.

Chapter IV — The Process

Each chair, built by one craftsman.

A single artisan handles each chair start to finish — frame, springs, foam, upholstery. Five weeks to your door.

Brief

Style direction, references, scale. Photograph the space and existing furniture so we can match proportion and tone.

II.
Sample Approval

Fabric and leather swatches couriered. Frame sketch with key dimensions. Sign-off before workshop begins.

III.
Workshop

Three to four weeks. Frame first, springs tied by hand, foam layered, upholstery wrapped and stitched. Single craftsman, full ownership.

IV.
Delivery

Crated and white-glove delivered. Most chairs fit through standard doorways; tighter spaces accommodated.

Yes — single chairs are a significant part of our work. There's no minimum order with Jekoya.

We can match fabric, leather tone, or build a deliberate contrast. Send a photo of the sofa and we'll suggest options that work in the room.

Comfort is non-negotiable. Hand-tied springs, layered foam, ergonomic seat depth and back angle. We test every prototype by sitting in it for thirty minutes before approval.

A wing-back chair weighs around 25–35kg — solid wood frames are heavier than IKEA but liftable by one strong adult. Lighter accent chairs around 12–18kg.

Yes — for pairs and sets, we cut from the same wood batch and same fabric roll, finished consecutively for tonal consistency.
